During 2007 Bioagua had The Swedish University of Agricultura Sciences, Alnarp, perform a test of the media that is used for growing microorganisms inside the Bioagua. The results where very positive and shows that bacteria grows very well on the substrate. This means that the idea that pathogens will be reduced by competition from harmles microorganisms, the main principle behind Bioagua, seems to hold. The next step is a larger test where the whole process is being tested. This is planned to 2010.
